California has long been deemed The Wild West. That was true when the early Americans set out to discover the west part of the Americas. And in many ways, it's still considered so.
California is a big adventure! Boasting the second largest city in the nation (Los Angeles - 23 million), and a state with the fifth largest economy in the world, we also have some of the most beautiful natural beauty, with several national parks, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, cliff-lined beaches, redwood forests, Central Valley farmland and the Mojave Desert... we've got a lot going on in this Golden State.

The car rides into the mountains to watch the sunset, or a random day of hiking after eating too many pancakes at IHOP, finding a secret beach with my bestie while on a bike ride, road trips near and far... those memories will be with you for a lifetime.

Luckily for us in CA, the weather is always good, actually it's pretty much almost perfect all the time. We get an estimated 340 days of sunshine per year. Santa Barbarans can actually be quite picky about the weather, and it will always be a topic of conversation among the locals. "Another day in paradise"... we say. Don't get me wrong, we have rain and murky days, too... and as a matter of fact since we've been dealing with a drought for so many years, we get pretty joyful for the rain, too. Water is like liquid gold in California. We are happy with the sun and happy with the rain. Life is pretty sweet in this region and we rarely have too much to complain about except maybe how expensive CA is!
